Groceries
Just finished our first day grocery shopping as a group. We had $100 to buy 6 breakfasts and 3 lunches for 12 people each, quite a challenge! Our instructors ensured that our shopping experience made us realize how families in poverty have to buy the cheap, less healthy options we opted for all the time. I'm sure this reality will set in more throughout the week as we tire of eating oatmeal for breakfast everyday. We managed to spend only $62 today, but we do have a few more meals to account for later in the week.
