Tears of Joy

I cried. Yes... I cried, but in my defense it was because I was putting in so much love into preparing a meal for our guests...........

OK it could have been the onions I was dicing with Sarah that made me tear up but that did not stop us from dicing up those onions. My favorite part of the night was playing Apples to Apples with a couple of our guests and to hear one of them say that they wanted to play another round with us while her friends were ready to leave. One of her friends said that she owned the game and that they should all get together to play. Who knew that games can unite people and bring conversation among people from different hometowns and experiences. Sharing a dinner with these women is helping me become more comfortable being around those who are homeless but also, people in general.

  1. Love how this starts, funny :) What specific factors did you see prevalent the night of the dinner? Which factors are most important?
